Envy on Launchpad!
Now Envy has also a page on the Projects list of Launchpad
https://launchpad.net/projects/envy
I have temporarily removed the Unstable version as I have some projects on my mind (but not enough time because of my exams).
Stay tuned
My script has a name now: Envy
Now my script is called “Envy” (version 0.35).
Its name is a play on words, since the Italian for “envy” is “invidia”.
version 0.35 is more polished (no new features yet)
UPDATE: I have released a new UNSTABLE version of the scripts (ONLY FOR DAPPER)
UPDATE: I have released a new UNSTABLE version of the scripts (ONLY FOR DAPPER)
New features:
* the script will let you keep the restricted modules
I really NEED TESTERS who use the Restricted modules (for example for your wireless card).
I would really appreciate your help to improve the script.
TESTERS should try all the 3 functions of the installer (install, reinstall, uninstall) and see if your device that depends on the restricted modules stops working after using one of the three functions.
Please, let me know.
New version of Envy
Yesterday night I released a new version of my scripts that supports the Nvidia driver 8762 on Ubuntu Breezy and Ubuntu Dapper:

My next goals are:
* allowing users to choose whether to keep their restricted modules or not
* writing a guide for newbies providing detailed instructions on how to use the script, warnings, etc.
* a better integration with my guides (especially with the “Problems Section”)
* choosing a better name for my project
* adding my project to Launchpad
Introduction
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my brand new blog.
Before you start reading my posts I want to make clear that what I’ll be writing is NOT a universal Truth but only MY truth.
As a free thinker I will respect your thought and I hope you will do the same with mine. Of course constructive criticism is welcome.
I’ll try to keep this blog as up-to-date as possible according to the spare time my studies (and exams) leave me.
