My name is Alberto Milone, I attend the 2nd level degree course “Lingue Moderne per la Comunicazione Internazionale” at the University of Lecce, where I got my 1st level degree in 2005. I was born in Turin in 1983 but I have spent most of my life in Lecce. My current interests include the study of the English language and GNU/Linux distributions, for both of which I have an insane passion.

I am particularly interested in a GNU/Linux distro called Ubuntu Linux. Ubuntu is a Debian-based distro by Canonical. According to Canonical’s webpage: “Ubuntu” is an ancient African word, meaning “humanity to others”. Ubuntu also means “I am what I am because of who we all are”. The Ubuntu Linux distribution brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the software world.

One of the pillars of Ubuntu is its Community. The Forums, the Wiki, the USDF (Ubuntu Storage Document Facility), and all their members are always ready to help you out and to show you the best way to enjoy your Ubuntu experience.

As a moderator of the English forum Ubuntuforums.org I have the pleasure to work (as a volunteer) side by side with other Staff members who ensure that the community keep up with its (in my opinion) high standards.
